C-Lift Powder is mixed into the Step 1 lifting lotion at a starting ratio of approximately 80% Step 1 lotion to 20% Powder, to thicken it for glueless wrapping and advanced, powder-assisted application techniques. This ratio reflects how most artists prefer to work as a starting point, and can be adjusted to suit individual technique — it isn't a fixed formula. Powder is optional and technique-led; C-Lift works as a complete system with or without it. Artists should be confident in core lash assessment, placement, timing and neutralisation before using powder-assisted methods.

Powder can also be mixed with Step 2 instead of Step 1, when balm is not being used as part of the wrapping technique. This is an alternative approach for artists whose technique doesn't rely on balm for glueless application.

• Assuming Powder creates the lift. The lifting (reducing) action comes from Step 1 — Powder only changes the texture and workability of the lotion it's mixed with, for glueless and powder-assisted application.
• Straying far from the starting ratio. C-Lift Powder starts at approximately 80% lotion to 20% Powder — artists can adjust slightly to suit their own technique, but too much powder can affect spread, saturation and processing behaviour.
• Not adjusting technique when balm isn't used. If balm isn't part of the wrapping method, Powder mixed with Step 2 is an alternative worth considering rather than defaulting to the Step 1 mix regardless.
• Using Powder before mastering lash lift fundamentals. Powder-assisted and glueless techniques are advanced methods — be confident in core assessment, placement, timing and neutralisation first.
• Treating Powder as compulsory. C-Lift works as a complete system with or without Powder, depending on the technique you're using.
