White Mapping Paste FAQs

1. What is Ciaobrow White Mapping Paste used for?

It's a professional brow mapping paste used to outline the brow shape before henna, hybrid tint, traditional tinting or lamination. It acts as a barrier, stopping colour from bleeding outside your lines, and gives you and your client a clear guide to check symmetry.

2. When should I apply it during a treatment?

Apply it after cleansing and mapping but before henna, tint or lamination. The paste sits best on clean, dry skin, so make sure the brow area is free of makeup and moisturiser first.

3. Which treatments can I use it with?

It works with brow henna, hybrid tint (including Ciaobrow Fusion), traditional tint and brow lamination. It's especially useful for henna and tint, where skin staining is expected. We don't recommend it before waxing, as the wax-based formula can leave a residue that stops wax gripping the hair.

4. How do I apply it correctly?

Use a bevelled (angled) brush to apply a thin, clean line directly on the skin around the outside of your mapped shape. Keep the edge closest to the brow crisp, and avoid applying it too thickly or onto the hairs, as this can interfere with your colour.

5. How do I remove it?

Lift the paste away with a dry cotton bud, working outwards away from the brow. Because it's a wax-based formula, water alone won't fully remove it, so finish with your usual brow cleanser or a small amount of oil on a cotton pad. Its bright white colour shows up clearly on every skin tone, so it's easy to see what's left.
